Shooting MeritWalter Langhorst of Salt Lake City was the district manager for Remington Arms Co. and began registering targets in 1954. That same year he won Professional Doubles honors at the Baby Grand in Elko, Nevada. He entered his first 100 straight in Phoenix five years later and earned the Professional prize in the 1962 Golden West Grand Doubles Championship. Mr. Langhorst was the Professional Runner-up in the 1965 Grand American Singles Class Championship and was the Grand American Professional Doubles and Clay Target Champion in 1968. Walt was named to the Professional All American Team each year from 1966 through 1969.
